Yearbooks are a great way of capturing a moment in time and sharing the personality of a class for generations to come. You will create a yearbook for a class graduating between 1942-1944. This yearbook should not only capture popular moments of the era (music, movies, radio programs, sports) but also some mention of the war. Visit this website for ideas:
Your yearbook must include: a class favorites pages
At least 5-10 fictional students
A message from the principal/teacher
A mention of alumni/graduates/students who are fighting in the war

2) A CD/Playlist: Music is a great way of telling a story. Create a playlist of 10-12 songs telling the story of WWII. You may focus on a specific aspect of the war (life on the homefront, war in the Pacific, war in Europe, the Holocaust, etc). Your project must include:
A brief description of each song and how it relates to your story
Cover art and a title
At least 2 songs must be from that time period

3) Diary/Journal: Create a journal taking on the role of one of the people listed below. Your journal should have at least 10-12 entries that are dated and describe your daily life. Please include pictures where appropriate. Choose to be one of the following:
A soldier in :
The Pacific
Western Europe
North Africa
A WAAC (WAC) (Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps)
A WASP (Women Airforce Service Pilot)
A teen whose older brother signed up to fight in the war
