Welcome to the Health and P.E. page for
Our Lady of Victory School
At OLV, students begin Health classes with Mr. Dimitriou in 7th grade and continue the Health curriculum to the end of 8th grade. The Health curriculum includes, but is not limited to, stress management, mental and emotional health, body systems, eating responsibly, conflict management and general/personal safety.
The goal of teaching these topics will be to give the students a good base of knowledge and have them apply their learning into their everyday lives.
At OLV, all students participate in Physical Education beginning in Pre-K. For students in Pre-K, K, 1, and 2, their P.E. curriculum consists of mostly motor and manipulative skills. With this, the students are able to practice moving their bodies in many ways so they are best prepared for future sports and activities.
For grades 3-8, the P.E. curriculum varies but generally includes team sports, several partner sports/activities, and a few individual sports. Each year the students participate in Project Adventure, which is a team-building and leadership program, and has been a tremendous success among our students.
